Tahqeeqi Jareeda is an Urdu research and critical inquiry journal, published by the Department of Urdu, GC Women University, Sialkot, Pakistan. The first issue was published in January 2017. It is printing bi-annually. The unpublished research-based articles in the context of Urdu language and literature as well as other local languages are included in Tahqeeqi Jareeda. Articles are sent to the experts for judgment and opinion before publication. It is registered in MLA directory of periodicals and registration with some other international database agencies like Ulrich, EBSCO etc in progress. The Aim and Goal of Tahqeeqi Jareeda is to promote quality research in areas of Urdu language and literature as well as other local languages. The major features of Tahqeeqi Jareeda are unpublished research works about Urdu classical text, manuscripts and artifacts as well as the modern critical thoughts and ideas, issues of language, linguistics and quality research of poetry. The Objective of Tahqeeqi Jareeda is standardization of Urdu and local languages research and criticism particularly in Universities. The journal facilitates publication of the Urdu researchers and scholars in universities of Pakistan and abroad, their research projects under the defined procedures and guidelines. Researchers and scholars of Urdu and other local languages outside universities can also send their research articles. Tahqeeqi Jareeda strictly follows the rules and regulations set by HEC for journals.

Aims & Scope
Tahqeeqi Jareeda considers all manuscripts, book reviews, review articles and commentaries related to any aspect of Urdu language and literature as well as other local languages in the region. Research and critical works from Language, Linguistics and Literature perspectives are welcomed for submission, however, all submissions must be written in Urdu only. The journal does not entertain any kind of submissions in any languages other than Urdu.
