مارگولیس کے درپردہ دوسرا اعتراض کہ آنحضرت ﷺ آل اسمٰعیل ؑسے نہیں تھے ‘ کے بارے اعلانیہ سر ولیم میور نے کہہ دیا کہ ’’ یہ خواہش کہ مذہب اسلام کے پیغمبر ﷺ کو حضرت اسمعیل ( علیہ السلام) کی اولاد سے خیال کیا جائے اور غالباََ یہ خواہش کہ وہ نسل اسمٰعیل سے ثابت کیے جائیں ‘ ان کی حین حیا ت میں پیدا ہوئی تھی o اور اس طرح محمد ﷺ کے ابراہیمی نسل کے نسب نامہ کے ابتدائی سلسلیگھڑے گئے ہیں o اور اسمعیل ؑ اور بنی اسمعیل کے بے شمار قصے نصف یہودی نصف عربی سانچہ میں ڈھالے گئے ہیں‘‘ o ( ضیاالنبی ۔۷۔۱۷۱)
جواب : ارشاد خدا وندی ہے رَبَّناَ وَابْعَثْ فِیْھِمْ رَسُوْلاََ مِّنْھُمْ یَتْلُوْا عَلَیْھِمْ اٰیٰتِکَ وَیُعَلِّمُھُمْ الْکِتٰبَ وَالْحِکْمَۃَ وَیُزکِّیْھِمْ ط( البقرہ ۱۲۹،پارہ۱) ’’ترجمہ : اے ہمارے رب ان میں ایک برگزیدہ رسول انہیں میں سے بھیج تاکہ پڑ ھ کر سنائے انہیں تیری آیتیں اور سکھائے انہیں یہ کتاب اور دانائی اور پاک صاف کر دے انہیں ‘‘۔ خانہ کعبہ کی بنیادیں اٹھاتے وقت باپ بیٹے ( ابراہیم ؑو اسمعیلؑ ) دونوں نے اپنی اولاد کے لیے دعا مانگنے کے بعد ایک رسول کی بعثت کے لیے التجا کی َ۔ دیکھنا یہ کہ اس دعا کا مصداق کون ہے ۔ ’’ وا بعث فیھم رسولا منھم ‘ پر غور کرنے سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ ’’ ھم ‘‘ کی ضمیر کا مرجع امت مسلمہ ہے یا ذریتنا ہے ۔ ھم کی ضمیر کا مرجع کسی تاویل سے اور قرار نہیں دیا جا سکتا ‘ اب ان دو صورتوں میں پہلی صورت یہ ہے کہ امت مسلمہ میں سے جو ہماری اولاد سے ہو ‘ رسول مبعوث فرما ۔ دوسری صورت میں یہ معنی ہو گا کہ ہماری اولاد میں سے ایک رسول بھیج ۔...

CERVICOGENIC HEADACHE AMONG DENTISTS WORKING IN LAHORE MEDICAL AND DENTAL COLLEGE

Background and Aim: Headache is a very common condition worldwide. Cervicogenic headache is a secondary type of headache. Dentistry requires both, the concentration and precision and dentists have to work in constricted zones for extended period of time so it is important to evaluate headache among dental population. The objective of this study was to screen Cervicogenic headache among dentists working in Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore. Methodology: The Descriptive Cross-sectional study, of 6 months duration, was conducted on 125 dentists. The data was collected from Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore.  Non-Probability convenience sampling technique was used. Dentists working for at least 2 years and more than 5 hours daily, with the known cases of headache were included and those who were diagnosed with any other condition that cause headache like acute sinusitis, High blood pressure etc. were excluded. Data was collected by using cervical Flexion Rotation test whose validity is 0.81. Data was entered by using Statistical package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 and the same software was used for data analysis. Results: The findings showed that, out of 125 dentists, 36.8% (n=46) were male and 63.2% (n=79) were female and cervical flexion rotation test was positive in 30.4% (n=38) dentists. Conclusion: This study concluded that cervicogenic headache is present in 30.4% dentists working in Lahore Medical and Dental College.

Impact of Capacity Building of Teachers of Govt. Boys Primary Schools on Class Room Teaching in District Swat.

The study attempted to find out the impact of capacity building of teachers of Government Primary schools on classroom teaching. The objectives of the study were to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the capacity building initiatives for professional development of teachers of Govt: Boys` Primary Schools in district Swat and to make recommendations for improving the current efforts for capacity building of primary school teachers. Capacity is developed when individuals are motivated to use knowledge, skills and resources in order to enhanced organizational objectives, The population of the study included 841 Headmasters of Government Boys` Primary Schools, 3034 senior teachers and 50535 students. Of those 252 (30%) Headmasters, 910 (30%) Senior Teachers and 15160 (30%) students were randomly selected for sampling reason being that total population of teachers could not be covered. An opinionnaire containing eleven statements was handed over to Head Masters, a questionnaire containing eleven questions were handed over to the teachers who had received training and a checklist for classroom observation of 5th class students of 101 primary schools in district Swat. The relevant literature was reviewed, which provided indicators for development of tools. The data obtained were quantified and described. In order to measure the internal reliability of the opionionnaire, Cronbach’s Alpha Reliability Test was applied for estimating the reliability of the data. The value of Cronbach Alpha was 0.89, which indicated a high level of internal reliability. The Chi-Square Test of Association was also applied for checking the results to show association between the responses of Head Masters and Teachers. It showed that there were no significant differences in the responses of both Head Masters and Teachers. The results revealed that Head Masters could play more effective role for school effectiveness by developing clear vision; providing instructional feedback to teachers; effective monitoring and supervisory mechanism; setting a democratic environment conducive to teaching learning process and involving the stakeholders in decision-making. The results of the study further indicated that school effectiveness owed itself to capable Head Masters, committed staff, non-political intervention, a procedure of incentives and disincentives, positive feedback to teachers and last, but not the least, a continuous instructional supervision to what happened in classroom. The recommendations for improving classroom teaching required continuous on-the-job training, commitment of teachers to the teaching profession and improved pedagogical skills of teachers as well as updating classroom management.
