نواب امیر حسن خان
افسوس ہے کہ گذشتہ مارچ میں نواب صدیق حسن خان کے پوتے اور نواب علی حسن خان کے بڑے صاحبزادے نواب امیر حسن خان نے دفعتہ انتقال کیا، اس خاندان میں کئی پشتوں تک علم و دولت کا اجتماع رہا نواب علی حسن خان خود صاحبِ علم، اہل قلم کے قدردان اور لکھنؤ کی اہم شخصیت تھے، اس لئے علامہ شبلی مرحوم سے اُن کے بڑے گہرے تعلقات تھے، اس تعلق اور علم دوستی کی بنا پر ان کو ندوہ اور دارالمصنفین سے خاص تعلق تھا، ندوہ کے وہ ابتداء سے حامی و مددگار اور ایک زمانہ تک اس کے ناظم رہے، دارالمصنفین کے بھی رکن تھے، نواب صاحب کی زندگی تک ان کا دولت کدہ اصحابِ علم وکمال کا مرجع تھا، مگر ان کی وفات کے بعد اس خاندان کی پرانی شان قائم نہ رہ سکی، تاہم نواب امیر حسن خان نے حتی الامکان قدیم روایات اور پرانے تعلقات کو نباہنے کی کوشش کی، مگر زمینداری کے خاتمہ نے اس خاندان کا بالکل خاتمہ کردیا، ایک زمانہ میں بھوپال ہاؤس کی رونق اور چہل پہل قابلِ دید تھی، اور اب وہ تلک الایام نداولہابین الناس[آل عمران:۱۴۰]کا مرقع بن گیا ہے، نواب امیر حسن خان کی عمر ساٹھ سال کے قریب رہی ہوگی، اﷲ ان کو اپنی رحمت ومغفرت سے سرفراز فرمائے۔

Development of College of Industrial Technology FM Broadcast Trainer

An FM Broadcast Trainer was developed to expose the students to the basic equipment needed in radio broadcasting. The cost of Portable FM Broadcast Trainer is much lower than the cost of the traditional commercial equipment because of the materials used. The FM Broadcast Trainer is laboratory equipment that can be used by schools offering academic programs in Industrial Courses specifically Electronics Communication courses. At present there is no portable FM broadcast station available in the local market. Some schools are reluctant to by new FM station equipment since these are quite costly. To resolve this problem, the researchers deemed it necessary to design and develop a portable FM Broadcast Trainer that is simple and affordable to fulfil the basic curricular requirements for offering courses in Electronics Communication Technicians. This is a requirement for our graduates to qualify to take the Radio Telephone Operator examination given by the National Telecommunication Commission the telecommunication body in the Philippines counterpart of Federal Communication Commission in the US. Aside from this, the station will be a venue for Mass Communications students and a vehicle for channelling important announcement from the School.

Physical Chemical and Biological Treatment of Rice Husk to Improve its Untritive Value

Pakistan is mainly an agriculture country. Livestock is an integral part of the Agricultural economy unfortunately Livestock in Pakistan is producing for below its full potential. The main reason this poor performance is the shortage of fodder quantitatively and qualitative. Therefore, to overcome the shortage of green fodder, we have to export the conventional and nonconventional sources of feed. Pakistan is one of the major producer of rice in Asia, that’s shy rice husk which is a by-product of rice threshing process in frequently and cheaply available. In this study we study this underutilized source, by applying various treatments, evaluating their impact on husk topology and itsimpart on husk topology and its impact on ruminant feeding. In the first two experiments, the rice husk was subjected to acid, alkali, and water treatment at various temperature and concentration, we found a significant effect of temperature on rice husk (P>0.001). Whereas concentration in case of alkali treatment produced significant results (P?0.001). Topology of rice husk 4 bond specific bond vibrations was studied with the help of FT/IR and scanning electron microscopy. Electron micrographs showed swelling and even cracking of the epidermises. FT/IR results demonstrate a change in the absorbance in the polysaccharide bonding region. The third experiments deals with the enhancement of nutritive value of rice husk by SSF using Pleurotusflonda. Experiment shows significant increase in the CP and decrease in the total lignin content (P> 0001. Finally in the fourth experiment a ration having 20% differently procured husk were feeded to the small ruminant (Lohi Sheep) and the an average weekly weight gain comparable feed intake and FCR were found comparable with control. The data was analyzed using Mintab version 20:01. It is concluded that improving the quality of certain under utilized agricultural residue can minimize the feed gap in Pakistan. Rice husk is a valuable and acceptable source of fed for ruminant and there is need to educate the small farmer to break this myth.
