مستری چراغ دین (۱۹۳۵۔۱۸۵۷) پسرور میں پیدا ہوئے۔ مستری اردو اور فارسی زبان میں شاعری کرتے تھے۔ ۱۹۲۶ء میں آپ مکہ مکرمہ چلے گئے واپس آ کر ’’حج کا ساتھی‘‘ کے نام سے سفر نامہ مرتب کیا۔ خواجہ حسن نظامی نے اس سفر نامہ کو حلقہ مشائخ دہلی کے تحت مارچ ۱۹۲۸ء میں شائع کیا۔ بہت کوشش کے باوجود آپ کا شعری کلام دریافت نہیں ہو سکا۔ ایک شعر ملاحظہ ہو جو انہوں نے اپنے تعمیری مکان کے بیرونی دروازے کی ڈاٹ پر کنندہ کرایا تھا۔

An Overview of the Religious Perspective of Honour Killing in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) of Pakistan

This article maps the role of religion in the prevalence and promotion of honour killing in tribal areas of Pakistan. Through simple sampling method a sample size of 377 respondents, comprising of ‘Maliks’ were selected from the study universe. The collected data was interpreted and presented at uni-variate, bi-variate and multi-variate levels. Chi-square test statistics were used to draw association between dependent variable (honour killing) and independent variable (religion) both at bi-variate and multi-variate levels. The study found a significant relationship of honour killing with the importance of religion in people lives, alienation from the religious teachings, dominance of cultural values over religion, existence of honour killing in all religious sects (Shia and Sunni), and lack of factual religious knowledge about honour killing. Moreover, a non-significant relationship of honour killing was found with permission of honour killing in Islam, and religious clerics often speak about honour killing in religious sermons. Understanding of women and their rights in light of the teachings of Islam, religious clerics need to perform their true role, and killing in either shape needs to be propagated as against the religion were presented some of the policy recommendations in lights of the study results.

Impact of Business Ethics on Employees Affective Commitment and Employees’ Performance Via Trust in Organization : An Empirical Study on Cellular Operators of Pakistan

This study examines how business ethics (Ethical leadership, Ethical Climate and Organizational Fairness) will have direct and indirect impact on Employees' Affective Commitment, Employees' Job Satisfaction and Employees' Job Performance. This study conducted on cellular operators (Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, Zong and Warid) of Pakistan. Data were collected through survey questionnaires given personally to 600 employees working in regional and head offices of cellular operators of Pakistan located in four big cities of Punjab Pakistan i.e. Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore and capital city Islamabad. There were 545 questionnaires returned, out of which, 518 dully completed responses were used for the final statistical analysis. The results have shown that three dimensions of business ethics i.e. Ethical Leadership, Ethical Climate and Organizational Fairness are supported as significant predictors of Employees' Affective Commitment, Employees' Job Satisfaction and Employees' Job Performance. Moreover Trust in Organization partially mediates the causal relationship between the Business Ethics (Ethical Leadership, Ethical Climate and Organizational Fairness) and Employees' Affective Commitment, Employees' Job Satisfaction and Employees' Job Performance. Finally, the study also presents some theoretical and managerial implications, limitations and suggestions for future research.
