آہ! بدر کامل غروب ہوگیا
افسوس اور سخت افسوس ہے کہ ۱۹؍ جون کو مولانا بدرالدین صاحب اصلاحی ناظم مدرستہ الاصلاح و دائرہ حمیدیہ رحلت فرماگئے، اناﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون۔
کئی برس سے انہیں دردِ پاکی شکایت تھی، اس کے علاج کے لیے بمبئی تشریف لے گئے مگر تکلیف کم ہونے کے بجائے بڑھتی گئی، آمدو رفت کا سلسلہ اور ساری سرگرمیاں منقطع ہوگئیں۔ تاہم دل و دماغ کام کررہا تھا، مشکلات اور پیچیدہ مسائل میں رہنمائی بھی فرماتے تھے۔
۱۶؍ جون کو مدرستہ الاصلاح کی مجلس انتظامیہ کا جلسہ تھا، وہیں ان کی شدید علالت کی خبر ملی ۱۸؍ جون کو عیادت کے لیے گیا تو گردش روزگار کا یہ عجیب منظر دیکھ کر بدحواس ہوگیا کہ بلبل ہزار داستاں کی طرح چہکنے، اپنی گل افشانی گفتار سے مجلس کو زعفران زار بنانے اور اپنی خطابت اور خوش بیانی سے مسحور کرنے والے کی زبان گنگ ہوگئی ہے اور میں یہ حسرت ہی لیے رہ گیا کہ ع بات کرتے کہ میں لب تشنہ تقریر تھا۔ شاید اشارے سے کچھ کہا ہو مگر میں سمجھ نہیں سکا، ہوش و حواس بھی اچھی طرح بجا نہیں تھے۔ جسم گل کر ہڈیوں کا ڈھانچہ رہ گیا تھا، واپسی میں راستے بھر اور رات کو بھی بڑی دیر تک عجیب خلش اور بے چینی رہی، یہ کرب و اضطراب اس لیے تھا کہ مدرستہ الاصلاح کے اغراض و مقاصد کا حقیقی مبلغ اور ’’فکر حمید‘‘ کا اصلی شارح و ترجمان دنیا سے رخصت ہونے والا ہے، اور اس کا کوئی بدل اور جانشین نہیں ع افسوس کہ از قبیلہ مجنوں کسے نہ ماند۔

Research on Akhlaq Development: The Standard Character and its Development in Muslim Living

Knowledge without its moral disposition is of no benefit. The virtues of knowledge without hidāyat are useless and vice versa. Man is advised to control his behavior as he will be questioned for his deeds. Faith is not a matter of words but of accepting Allah’s will and striving in his cause. Every soul shall have a taste of death and on the Day of Judgment will be paid full recompense for his deeds. The one who is admitted to heaven would attain the object of life. This object is achieved by moral character. It shapes an individual in a way conducive to the unfettered growth of good, virtue and truth in every sphere of life. It gives full play to the forces of going in all directions. Also it removes all impediments in the path of virtue. It eradicates evils from social plan by prohibiting the causes of its appearance and growth, by closing the inlets through which it creeps into a society. It saves from all sorts of human weaknesses and counsels of pseudo-wisdom, self respect that keeps breaking-in and resists all evils. This is attained by exercising highest patience and self restraint. It signifies the entire scheme of life and not any isolated part or parts thereof. Akhlāq develops an attitude in a person by which every moral valuation, every decision as to the practical course for whatever the individual would prefer in his life to take for ultimate success.

Perceived Psychosocial Problems Social Support and Coping Strategies in the Wives of Emigrants

This study investigated perceived psychosocial problems, social support and coping in the wives of emigrants. The mediating role of perceived social support is also investigated in relationship between perceived psychosocial problems as independent variable and coping as dependent variable. Mixed methods research design was used. This study was conducted in two phases. In Phase I, 25 wives were approached through snow ball sampling technique. In- depth interviews were taken, audiotaped and transcribed. Items were collated and validated by experts. Perceived Psychosocial problems in the Wives of Emigrants (PPWE) and Religious, Active and Social-support Coping (RASC) scales were developed and psychometric properties were established. Factor analyses revealed three factors named low- mood, psychosomatic and social insecurity for PPWE scale and three factors named religious, active and social –support coping for RASC scale. In Phase II, snow ball sampling technique was used to investigate the relationship between perceived psychosocial problems, perceived social-support and coping from 377 wives of emigrants. A matched control group of 50 wives living with husbands was also compared with a group of 50 wives of emigrants. Results suggested that there was a significant difference in perceived psychosocial problems in the wives of emigrants than wives living with husband. Findings suggested that there was a significant relationship between perceived psychosocial problems, perceived social support and coping (religious, active and social-support). Multiple hierarchical regression analyses indicated that perceived psychosocial problems and social support were significant predictors of religious and social-support coping. Furthermore, mediation analyses found that perceived social support partially mediated the relationship between perceived psychosocial problems and religious and social-support coping. The two culturally sensitive measures PPWE and RASC provided early and timely identification will help in estimating the need for intervention and establishing the mental health services in community.
