مخمور عثمانی
آہ!دیوبند اوردہلی کی ادبی، علمی اورمعاشرتی زندگی میں چلتے پھرتے،ہنستے کھیلتے مخمورعثمانی بھی موت کی آغوش میں چلے گئے۔طویل علالت کے بعد مورخہ۱۶/جنوری۱۹۹۵ء کودہلی میں انتقال فرماگئے۔اناﷲ واناالیہ راجعون۔
مرحوم عثمانی کا تعلق قبلہ اباجان مفکر ملت حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمن عثمانی نوراﷲ مرقدہ سے نیازمندی کاتھا۔حضرت مفتی صاحبؒ نے ہی دیوبند سے دہلی بلایا،ادارہ ندوۃ المصنفین کے کاموں میں مشغول رکھا اورپھر مرحوم خوداپنی ہی استطاعت وکوششوں کی بدولت روزنامہ الجمعیتہ دہلی، ماہنامہ جمالستان دہلی اور ماہنامہ آستانہ دہلی سے وابستہ ہوکر۱۹۵۱ء سے۱۹۹۳ء تک ہمدرد دواخانہ دہلی کے شعبۂ نشرواشاعت کے انچارج رہے۔تصنیف وتالیف کاشوق تھا’’اب کیا ہوگا‘‘ کے عنوان سے افسانوں کاایک مجموعہ بھی ان کاشائع ہوچکا ہے۔دہلی سے نورس اور دیوبند سے بشریٰ کے نام سے معیاری رسائل نکالے۔
مرحوم مخمورعثمانی بزرگوں عالموں کے قدردان تھے۔قبلہ اباجان حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمن عثمانی کے تودل وجان سے عاشق اورمعتقد اورخاندان مفتی صاحبؒ کے شیدائیوں میں تھے۔
احقر سے خصوصی لگاؤ اورانسیت رکھتے تھے موقعہ بہ موقعہ بڑی ہی حوصلہ افزائی کیاکرتے اورجگہ جگہ احقر کی ستائش وتعریف کرتے کہ دیکھو اس لائق فرزند (عمید الرحمن عثمانی)نے حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمن عثمانی کی وفات کے بعد جس طرح ادارہ ندوۃ المصنفین اوررسالہ برہان کو جاری وقائم رکھا ہواہے اس سے عقیدت مندانِ مفتی صاحبؒ کوکس قدر اطمینان وراحت اورخوشی حاصل ہورہی ہے۔ مجھے یہ لکھنے میں کوئی باک نہیں کہ مرحوم مخمور عثمانی کے پُرخلوص مشوروں اور ہمت افزائی کے کلمات سے احقر کوہمیشہ قوت وتوانائی فراہم ہوتی رہی۔
اﷲ تعالیٰ انھیں کروٹ کروٹ جنت نصیب فرمائے آمین۔ان کے صاحبزادگان اورمتعلقین کوصبرجمیل عطاکرے آمین۔ادارہ ندوۃ المصنفین ورسالہ برہان مخمورؔعثمانی کی وفات وحسرت آیات پراظہار تعزیت کرتاہے۔

A Literary Analysis and Authentication of Honor and Dignity (Al-‘Izzah Wa Al-Karamah) in Sīrah Perspective

Islam endows men and women with “Human Honour and Dignity” (al-‘Izzah wa al-Karamah) and provides them with directions and guidelines to protect each other’s rights with respect and honour. This research paper demonstrates the protection of honor and dignity as a significant tool of life. The denotation of “honor” and “dignity” according to the Qur’ānic and prophetic perspective has been focused in this research. In the preservation of human personal honor, dignity and other rights, Shari’ah evidences from Qur’ān and Sīrah are explored with the perspective of highlighting the emphasis on Shari’ah on this aspect of religion, which is also one of the dimensions of Maqaṣid al-Shari‘ah as well. The paper ends with the note that human beings should endure the "best moral and ethical values" of mercy, faith, compassion, justice, piety, empathy and also with the fear of abusing one’s honor and status in the society.

Development of an Operational Framework for Cellular Manufacturing System Using Hybrid Genetic Algorithm

Cellular Manufacturing System (CMS) is the applied form of Group Technology (GT) in the manufacturing sector. CMS has the flexibility of job shop and efficiency of flow shop, besides having reduced material handling cost, reduced work in-process inventory and reduced setup time, thus brings about major decrease in the manufacturing cost and increase in quality of the final product. Though, having many benefits, it is a challenging task to get the benefits associated with CMS for the complex, real world problems. Most of the researchers have focused on the cell formation component of the CMS, which comprise of grouping parts into families and clustering machines (required to process these parts families) into cells. However, the operations related information such as processing time and sequence are rarely considered. The use of optimum manufacturing resources can be materialized through effective and efficient scheduling system. Therefore, current research focuses on the cell formation problem and the cell scheduling was also executed to complete the operational aspects of CMS and make it more useful for shop floor managers. All the benefits associated with CMS can be achieved through solving cell formation problem along with cells scheduling. In order to develop a comprehensive operational framework for CMS, two sub-frameworks were developed in this research study. First sub-framework was developed for solution of Cell Formation Problem (CFP) through a novel hybrid Genetic Algorithm (hybridization of Genetic Algorithm with Simulated Annealing and employing shake-off). The second sub-framework, which is a hybrid Genetic Algorithm-similar to CFP, was developed for solution of cells scheduling problem (solved as job shop scheduling problem as each cell is considered like a job shop). The effectiveness of each sub-framework was separately validated through testing of a number of problems from literature. The testing results of 35 CFP problems produced 24 best results with overall mean of 66.20. The proposed approach not only achieved the best solutions consistently, with minimum computational time, but also improved the results of two problems (problems 29 and 33), reporting it for the first time. The testing of 38 job shop scheduling problems produced best optimal results for all tested problems (i.e. matched the best results reported in literature so far). These two sub frameworks were successfully combined sequentially into the final outcome in the form of a comprehensive operational framework for Cellular Manufacturing System, resulting in part-machines clusters (with its grouping efficacy) and schedules for each cell (with its make span) displayed in the form of a Gantt chart. Moreover, validation through an industrial case study was successfully carried out, which further demonstrated the effectiveness of the developed CMS operational framework.
