Asia Pacific- Research Journal of Area Study Centre, Far East & South East Asia is HEC recognised, peer- reviewed and annually published journal in the field of social sciences. Aims & Scope
Asia Pacific, Research Journal of Area Study Centre, Far East & South East Asia is Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) recognised, peer-reviewed and annually published journal in the field of social sciences. The prime purpose of bringing out this journal is to provide a forum to researchers, scholars and academicians interested/engaged in interdisciplinary research on cultural, ethnic, linguistic, political, economic, security, trade and business aspects of the Far East & Southeast Asian region.
Review Policy and Process
A full double-blind peer review process is used that comprises the following steps:
All submitted papers are first examined by the Editor of the journal for the initial review. The editor may assign an Assistant/Associate Editors to review the quality and scope of the submitted manuscript. Editors/associate editors make sure that submitted manuscript is as per mentioned instructions for author and meets objectives and scope of the journal. In case the submitted manuscript does not meet the journal criteria, the paper is rejected and author (s) are notified via email.
In case the manuscript meets the set criteria, then the editor or associate/assistant editors send the article for further double-blind review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least 01 National and 01 International reviewers with a double-blind, peer review policy of the journal.
The reviewers' recommendations determine whether a manuscript is accepted / accepted subject to revisions/ resubmission for review after significant revisions / submission rejected.
Authors are notified about the expert opinion and recommendations of reviewers and they are asked for revised draft of manuscript with all incorporations/modifications and omissions as suggested by the reviewers.
For the papers which require only revisions, the Associate or Technical editor will re-review the paper for ensuring that the reviewer’s suggestions have been incorporated or not.
For papers that require resubmission for review, will undergo Second Round of review by the same or different reviewers to ensure that the quality of the revised paper is acceptable.
After final Acceptance, the Author/Corresponding author will be notified and paper will be forwarded to editor for copy-editing, layout editing and proof reading.
Statement of Publication Ethics and Plagiarism
We believe that ethical publishing leads to a better science community and insures quality of research. We follow the code of conduct and plagiarism policies similar to those of University of Sindh and Higher Education Commission (HEC). In case of malpractice, fraud, cheating the action will be taken as per HEC plagiarism policy. We accept manuscripts, which must meet with the following set of ethical measures:
- Submitted manuscripts is original and not published elsewhere
- There is no conflicts of interest declaration
- All co-authors meet criteria for authorship and ensure appropriate acknowledgements made in the manuscript
- Appropriate funding statement is given in the manuscript
- Informed consent and assurances that participants’ rights are protected (where applicable)
- A copyright agreement
License and Copyright Information
Copyright is the exclusive legal right to produce, reproduce, and publish an original research work. As Asia Pacific is an open access journal, hence following the Creative Commons License authors are asked to retain ownership of the copyright of their articles. The license permits any user to download, print out, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article, so long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and source of the work. The license ensures that the authors' article will be available as widely as possible and that the article can be included in any scholarly archive.
