آہ! بدر کامل غروب ہوگیا
افسوس اور سخت افسوس ہے کہ ۱۹؍ جون کو مولانا بدرالدین صاحب اصلاحی ناظم مدرستہ الاصلاح و دائرہ حمیدیہ رحلت فرماگئے، اناﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون۔
کئی برس سے انہیں دردِ پاکی شکایت تھی، اس کے علاج کے لیے بمبئی تشریف لے گئے مگر تکلیف کم ہونے کے بجائے بڑھتی گئی، آمدو رفت کا سلسلہ اور ساری سرگرمیاں منقطع ہوگئیں۔ تاہم دل و دماغ کام کررہا تھا، مشکلات اور پیچیدہ مسائل میں رہنمائی بھی فرماتے تھے۔
۱۶؍ جون کو مدرستہ الاصلاح کی مجلس انتظامیہ کا جلسہ تھا، وہیں ان کی شدید علالت کی خبر ملی ۱۸؍ جون کو عیادت کے لیے گیا تو گردش روزگار کا یہ عجیب منظر دیکھ کر بدحواس ہوگیا کہ بلبل ہزار داستاں کی طرح چہکنے، اپنی گل افشانی گفتار سے مجلس کو زعفران زار بنانے اور اپنی خطابت اور خوش بیانی سے مسحور کرنے والے کی زبان گنگ ہوگئی ہے اور میں یہ حسرت ہی لیے رہ گیا کہ ع بات کرتے کہ میں لب تشنہ تقریر تھا۔ شاید اشارے سے کچھ کہا ہو مگر میں سمجھ نہیں سکا، ہوش و حواس بھی اچھی طرح بجا نہیں تھے۔ جسم گل کر ہڈیوں کا ڈھانچہ رہ گیا تھا، واپسی میں راستے بھر اور رات کو بھی بڑی دیر تک عجیب خلش اور بے چینی رہی، یہ کرب و اضطراب اس لیے تھا کہ مدرستہ الاصلاح کے اغراض و مقاصد کا حقیقی مبلغ اور ’’فکر حمید‘‘ کا اصلی شارح و ترجمان دنیا سے رخصت ہونے والا ہے، اور اس کا کوئی بدل اور جانشین نہیں ع افسوس کہ از قبیلہ مجنوں کسے نہ ماند۔

Terrorism in Karachi, Sindh Pakistan: A Case Study of Safoora-Incident

Terrorism is contentious issue. It has affected the lives of people across the country. This paper analyses the factors for incidence of terrorism in Karachi city which has great economic importance for country. The city represents all communities belonging to various parts of the country. Migration of people from other provinces has significally changed demographic profile of the city. This study presents statistics about various offences committed in Hyderabad and Karachi. It describes important facts about the militant groups involved in the acts of terrorism in Karachi. It has been argued in the study that in some cases the acts of violence were politically motivated and in other cases terrorism acts were sponsored by religious groups. In order to understand the complex phenomenon of terrorism in Karachi, this study investigates the root causes of terrorism including economic deprivation. In most cases marginal sections of society have been found involved in the acts of terrorism. Thus, this study creates need for social reforms, poverty alleviation and provision of quality education. Further capacity-building of Law Enforcement Agencies to cope with this situation has been emphasized in this study. This paper also recommends some proposals for dealing with the issue of terrorism.

Rfid Sensor Tags for Internet of Everything

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is deeply integrated in numerous contemporary applications. Recognized as the successor to the now-dated optical barcodes, RFID technology finds widespread deployment in diverse tracking, tracing, control and monitoring applications across supply chain, healthcare, and various other verticals. In its generic form, an RFID tag or transponder is typically made up of an antenna and an application-specific integrated circuit. In a passive UHF RFID system, which is the prime focus of this academic discourse, the communication among the transponder tags and the reader unit is set up by modulation of the backscattered signal by the transponder tag. More recently, a paradigm shift towards furnishing RFID tags with sensing capabilities has taken place. RFID-based sensors, particularly those operating in the UHF and UWB operational band, offer the potential to deploy fully-wireless sensor networks. However, certain operational challenges, such as the tag’s reliability, eco-friendliness, robustness and cost, still require improvement. The growth of RFID market has been two-dimensional. While the standalone RFID systems dominate one side of the market, the other side is dominated by a product strategy that focuses around integration of RFID tags with a wide array of pre-existing applications. The said is motivated by the need to serve a multitude of functions – sensing, broadcasting, navigation, and personal communication, to name a few. The aforementioned research, with its multidimensional focus, emphasizes on the production of RFID sensor tags which blend cost-effectiveness with reliability. The current research proposes novel sensors for detecting and estimating humidity and displacement realized as RFID tag antennas ready to integrate with demanding modern day applications. The most important aspect that governs the performance of an RFID system is the read range. In this research, several pivotal challenges for on-metal operation are resolved by coming up with novel structures drawing from patch antennas, in order to maximize the reading over which the tag can be interrogated. Sensor-enabled tag antennas provisioned with specific radio frequency identification circuits are designed, fabricated and tested under various design and operational constraints including limited antenna size, specific antenna impedance, and stringent radiation pattern requirements. The resulting novel sensor-integrated RFID tag antennas are amenable for deployment in the Internet of Everything.
